The back and one of the side walls laid out on the board and batten sheet. Still need to cut out the window. I am going to try my hand building my own windows again using an idea I picked up recently while watching a video online.

As the contents of my parts collection grow I often need to think about sub-dividing the contents of one countainer into one or more countainers.
In this case, which cost me about $1.00 I have moved my rods and tubes, both round and sqaure into their own countainer, creating another sub-collection which includes bits of misc. tube and rod from projects, cash register tubes spools, small straws and stirrers, and empty pen tubes. They reside with other round and tubular bits, ready to be used in some scratch building & kit-bashing project.
Model citizens must have tools in order to stay productive. I believe this is most of them.
My car mechanic has a collection of large specimens of wrenchs hung on one of his walls in his garage. I have seen others that were larger then these. Who knows how these large wrenchs are used. The three wrenchs depicted here are on the rather large size, however I often thought about modeling a wrench larger then these for a scene.
Small plastic bottles for a bar or barbershop scene. Of course you can expand the list and use these colored bottles for any scene you can think of. I do not remeber the manufacturer, however you might be able to find these specimens in a Walthers catalogue.

Pinterest has always been a place for inspiration. Although I probaly will not build one of these bi-planes they are very lovely to view.

A short discussion on materials used for model makeing. Along with the discussions of materials the author mentions some hacks.
Woodland Scenics white metel goodness. These two unprimed castings are from Woodland Scenis "15 Assorted Skids" kit.
Two additional painted castings from other kits. Old and rotted ties and rusted tie plates laid out on a skip. The other skid looks like it was loaded with junk.
Several finished skids in all their goodness. Skips are primarily constructed of maple and oak and will stand-up to some ware. Throw a few up-against the structure, stack a few on the loading dock, or use them to skid your own goods. They were fun to paint and weather,
I believe I have seen all of the rendictions of the Adams Family. However, this edition takes place in an alternate reality. The screenshot depicts the Adams Family motor home cruising into the state of Texas. I am not sure what the purple exhaust represents? No really it is great film.
There are times when you need a special tool to fashion components. I thought this kit with its three special blades might come in handy to fashion these parts.
Recently, I was working on a project where I needed to get into a tight spot to snip something and although I did accomplish the chore, I thought there must be an easier way, so when I saw these miniature snippers being advertised I sent for a copy streight away.
Although not officaly part of Hot Wheels Fast Foodie line this vehicle is bacially a hot dog on wheels.

The roof panel measures a scale 23 feet wide by 7 feet high. If I subtract six inches from the height and width to allow for a over-hang, the structures dimensions will be 13 foot wide, 22.5 feet long and I figured the roof should peak at 12 foot.
