This blog is mainly a place where I can record my current interests. It is also a place where I can showcase my current projects, obtain inspiration, keep track of suppliers, and the many other little things that make-up who I am and what I am presently about.

Here is another one of those weird-ohs collectors cards. I don't remember exactly what these cards came with, but they were included with another werid-oh's product. I will have to do some research into this.
Coming soon...Featuring some of Bill Campbell's incredible characters originally developed over 40 years ago. Weird-o collectable cards are back."
Okay, enough with the klondike emblems already. I just thought you might be curious to see what it looked like.
I also got a new card back. Which I thought was rather cute.
Grossery Gang, Series 1
The Grossery Gang, brought to you by Moose Enterprises, brings you 150 Gag worthy rubber like miniatures. The figures stand approximately anywhere for a half to one inch tall. Each blind package contains one Grossery Gang figure, twelve regular collectible cards and two special cards that could be a puzzle piece, sticker, touch ‘n’ feel, heat ‘n’ reveal or a silver holographic card.

My brother and I played our first game of Risk 2210 AD the other day. Although it is basically played like the classic Risk board game, Risk 2210 AD adds some complexity to the game play. In addition, the game board has been updated and there two other types of territories that players can strive for. One such includes its own game board. Like the main game board, the moon board is broken into sectors and territories.
What makes this edition unique is its inclusion of commanders and command cards. These cards, especially, add the complexity I had mentioned to the game; more about these cards in a later post.
Since I was the one who introduced the game and was the one who made sure that the rules were being followed, I did not have my whole focus on the goal of winning and my brother beat my soundly.
My brother quickly got the upper hand by establishing a presence on the moon and in the sea colonies, while I was strapped by the play of my brothers command cards which limited my actions
These two joke cards are from the Bicycle Zombie playing card deck and are illustrated by Rob Sacchetto. There are fifty-four different zombies included on this deck. The two joker cards are just a preview.
Included in each package of Weird-Ohs skateboarders is a set of five trading cards depicting Hawk characters. These characters were developed by Bill Campbell over forty years ago. The cards measure 3.5 by 2.75 inches, about the size of a playing card. I have included one of the five, the only one that came out okay, when I took images of them. I will have to try again.
Download the "Western in my Pocket" zip folder which contains the games components. Once you unzip this file you will find a set of tiles, Event and Score cards, and game rules. Pick a character and scenario. This is a one-person or solo game. There are good guys and bad guy scenarios. The rules are very basic and open for interpretation. Not that you need them to play I suppose “old” west miniatures of any size could be used, but with the size of the tiles as they are I would propose using either 15 or 25mm miniatures instead of some miscellaneous token. This might make playing the game more meaningful.
The box measures 3.75 by 5.75 inches and contains two stacks of cards for a total of 110 cards, a detailed rule sheet, and an exclusive robot token. The cards are slightly smaller than a normally sized playing card. Within the mix there are four rules cards, 28 property cards, 11 property wild cards, 34 action, 13 rent, and 20 money cards.
Set up as follows: remove the 4 rule cards and pass them out for reference, shuffle the remaining cards and deal 5 cards to each person. You are look at your cards, but are to keep what you have in hand secret until you are ready to play them. Put the remaining cards face-down in the center to create a draw pile. Decide you will go first and continue clockwise.
To play, first pick 2 cards, play up to 3 of your cards in anyone combination of 3 ways:
You don’t have to play any cards if you don’t want to. The player to collect 3 full property sets in different colors wins.
Escape of the Dead is another fine game from the folks of the Experimental Playground. The game includes three cards, with backs, eight miniature zombies, and a one page pocket mod with the game instructions. The art work on the game components is great.
The three cards represent the Lawn, Barricades, and the Garage. These cards represent three unique phases of the game. The object of this solo game is to fix your vehicle while defending yourself against hordes of zombies who are continuously trying to break into the garage.
My wife and I have been playing Rummy. Here are the scores for three games by hand. Fran has been a roll lately and I have been loosing pretty much. No I don't let her win.
