Kitbash for Carnage

The video gives the viewer a streight forward method to building a vehicle ready for the Gas Lands.

This Hot Wheels Mercedes 540K has seen Better days

This one of the three vehicles that had been found while I was digging a new spot for flowers and herbs. As you can see it is in bad shape. The axels are shot, it is missing a chrome raditor, and the roof.

This is the Mercedes 540K.¹ First introduced in 1982 and outfitted with the wide white walled wheel set, she was "glamorous, sophisticated, and at one time quite popular".

What needs fixing. Both axils are shot and the white rimmed tires are no longer white. The whole chromed lights and raditor assembly is missing. Perhaps I should screen that area where the vehicles were found. Lastly, the body is riddled with spots of rust, with a few areas almost rusted through the paint and metal.

Although I might disessemble this model so that I can clean it more effectively I don't see myself restoring the piece. With two missing and unsourced parts, it is more trouble than its worth to me.

¹"The Mercedes-Benz 540K (W29) is a prestigious grand tourer produced between 1936 and 1943, featuring a supercharged 5.4L straight-eight engine producing 180hp. Known for luxury and high-speed autobahn travel, it is famous for its elegant Sindelfingen coachwork, particularly the rare "Special Roadster," which can command prices over $10 million."

Hot Wheels Street Wiener # 2

One of the Street Wieners is labeled Hot Wheels Lets Race. This die cast model is identical to the Fast Foodie variety. My first Street Wiener is lathered in mustard and ketchup, has green wheels, black grill, and silver spoiler, the my second has red wheels, silver grill, and a black spoiler. However it does include two distinct features. The miniature includes several jalapeno slices and a red emblem of a dog with the text spicy dog.

The Dark Knight Series

The Bat: HDG89

The Bat is one of five in the Dark Knight series. The series includes Batmobile, The Batman Batmobile, Cool-One, and the Gazella GT. The “Bat” is a futuristic flying vehicle and resembles some sort of beetle more then it does a bat. That being said it does have some sleek lines and armaments.

My Intermittent Collecting of Hot Wheels Vehicles

Hot Wheels HDL89 Zorg Character Car

This vehicle is one of six in this Hot Wheels/Disney Pixar LightYear mini series which includes the following character cars: Zurg, Zyclops, Space Ranger Alpha Buzz LightYear, Izzy Hawthorne, Sox, and XL-01 Buzz LightYear.

Matching its Zorg character it is colorful, multi-toned vehicle and if I care to use in my Gas Lands battles, it is equipped with three barrel cannon.

Privies for the Populous

The shack is built from Balsa, cardstock, corrugated material, and foamcore. The privey was built in 1/64 scale for a Gaslands project.

Another view. I do like working with Balsa. Balsa is easy to distress and made to look like it has seen better days.

This structure is from Woodland Scenics and is cast from white metal. This kit one of the three potties that I made a post on sometime ago.

Oops. I didn't realize there was someone inside.

1941 Cadillac Convertible Coupe

This is a 1941 Cadillac, Series 62 Convertible Coupe in miniature. I had hoped to had purchased a 1/64 scale figure for this miniature before now. The miniature figure is a heavy set gentlemen (listed as a cab-driver). I had also planned to add a policemen standing aside the vehicle writing a ticket. Well, I will have to put that on my list of purchases for this year.

Another Vehicle for the Gas Lands

As you can see I really do not like having to repaint a vehicle if there is no need to do so. Besides, I do like the way they look right out of their packaging.

In addition to the machine gun up front the nippers will grab at anything it comes in contact with. It will really do some hurt, especially on a human torso.

Although I do have a few more conversions on the workbench, this is number four in my fleet off Gas Lands ready vehicles. Not that I am in any hurry. The design of the gameboard hasn't even got past the brain-storming stage.
