Lets Make Some Greeblies

I only know what one of these contraptions is and at this point I have know idea how I might use them. The miniatures were slapped together using bits of leftover plastics, mostly! I have wanted to get to this project for some time and all I needed was an excuse to get down to my shop. The greeble in the center is a miniature desalination unit.

I have another greeble on my workbench waiting on some plastic putty. I will post this as soon as the piece is completed. Remember, you can never have too many greeble.

Plastic Model Putties

All I know was that I was unhappy with the last putty I used. So I did some searching and found this 10 Best Plastic Model Putties for Perfect Seamless Builds page.

More Creepy Hero Greeble

I some how lost track of this photo. This set includes six 3D printed objects from Creepyhero Studios. I won't attempt to indentify any of these exhibits with any accuracy. However whatever its attended use I can repurpose it, I can make something new out of it, or I can break it up into smaller objects and add these parts on to larger componets.

Another Door and Window Section is Nearing Completion

I do realize that this project is taking me an exceptionally long time to complete. This door needs a speck of paint on the door knob.

New Greeblies for Future Projects

I prefer to manufacture my own greeblies when I can, but special shapes can become hard and time consuming to create. The prices at CreepyHero Studios are economical and their offerings are full of detail, crisp and clean.

Greeblies Add Complexity to an Object

I am trying something a little different and am instituting themes this month. My first theme for this year will greeblies 1

As you can see greeblies can be bits of polystyrene that are cut and arranged on the object meticulously.

1 Greeblies are small relief details used to improve visual appeal and add complexity to a model.

Shed Needs a Repair

You might have wondered about the progress of these three sheds. I had added a couple details to this shed and accidently broke them off. About this time I had started a small project of four small sheds, which I will be making a post once they have been completed. Once I have completed the second of these sheds I will glue the details back on to the structure and make a repost of the completed project.

Ideas and Inspiration for More Robots

I posted this AI generated image some time ago. Recently I was reviewing my past posts and saw this image at the bottom of the post and it got me thinking about creating more robot miniatures. I was struck with the many colors, shapes, sizes and many differnt sensory inputs of these specimens.

Eddy's World

The sheer number and the simplicity of toys this maker created is amazing. Most of these toys were created from plastic, Eddy being an early adopter of this new medium.

Recycling workshop waste into desktop robots!

While I follow other Makers I am rather partial to this one. With the use of various materials and techniques this Maker creates, what seems like out of thin air, objects that are out-of-this world.

Aquitic Miniature Creatures

These miniatures are from Whizkids Pathfinder series. I haven't added any aquatic characters to my collection in a long while and although the price was right I just liked the sculps.

LA Alghollthu, 29 of 44 and molded in 2018. This miniatures is on the larger sized, that is approximately 70mm long 44mm high. I am not sure whether it is molded in PVC so I will not say it is. It has nice texture and is painted in several colors.

Grodair, measures approximately 30 by 25mm is quite small compared to the alghollthu. Grodair is finely constructed and painted in a dark yellow, has a red toungue and two sets of dark eyes.

The Cottage is Under Construction

I have started the construction of this lovely Heljan cottage. Actually I have made some progress. The walls and windows are up, I decided to paint the home with three colors and as you can see the roof is suppose to be a terracotta. I am going to give this a couple dry brushings, in hope it might improve the appearecne/

There is a porch, chimney, and some trim that still needed to be added to the structure.

Previously: Needed a quick and economical cottage.
