Mech Units in Mass
Screensnip is from Avatar 2. The miserable bastards have returned to work havoc to Pandora.
This blog is mainly a place where I can record my current interests. It is also a place where I can showcase my current projects, obtain inspiration, keep track of suppliers, and the many other little things that make-up who I am and what I am presently about.

Screenshots are from Star Wars II.
Androids are everywhere in Star Wars episoids II and III and are featured allies of the Empire.
It is a real treat to see all of these machines moving around, relatively autonomously.
Star Wars III features even more of these little critters.
The following "robots" are part of a upcoming exhibit called the Robot Zoo. These are just a few of the many "robots" that will be exhibited in this collection. They run through the use of hydraulics.
There are lights and sometimes controls to let the viistor manipluate certain aspects of the device. Mechanical unit has not been indentified.
The Crab. Most of the inwards are in plain view. You can see the pipes and hydraulics that help bring the creation to life.
The Grasshopper is one of larger spcimens here.
Most of the units include lights and many include sound. This mechanical unit has not been indentified.
I found this mech-unit along with its compatriots at the Dollar Tree. Megatron, appley named, stands approximately 60mm tall and is made from PVC plastic.
The package claims that they, the mechs, are more than meets the eye, but these are static figures and cannot be converted back into their puported original objects.

Rbbots are plastic robot capsule toys. They come in five different colors. Each color represents a unique robot. Once assembled the robot mechanized unit stands approximately two inches high. Each capsule comes with a round sprue with the mech’s parts, and a small instruction sheet. They might become useful in some SCIFI melee.
This capsule toy, No. K7-10, from "Blocks World", is a 25 piece Lego like puzzle (toy). I call it a puzzle because I am puzzled on how to assemble it. However, I haven’t given up yet! As you can see from the front of the assembly sheet, the kit can be built in three different configurations. I have been trying to assemble the model as the Mech-unit, that is, the model illustrated on the right. (above)
This article provides instructions and some images depicting the process of creating a scratch built Battletech Mech model. The instructions are not very detailed, but provide a basic overview of the process. The main material used for the model is styrene; however some metal tubing was also used to add structural strength to the model. The models design was used by FASA in the first addition of the tabletop combat game. Although not a true Star Wars Walker I labeled this post with this attribute anyway to help indentify this post.
