It is another fine autumn day and a great day for pictures. The Reading & Northern Railroad will be treating us to their collection of vintage locomotives over the next month or so. Today, a diesel F unit with a string of passenger cars was sent out to ferry passengers to Jim Thorpe . Where did that guy come from? He wasn't their when I set-up this morning.

Love these old diesels! The only way you could get them here when I was a lad was the Tri-Ag stuff (ostensibly made for their Canadian market!), and while I never managed one (friends had them), I did get that HO AHM/Model Power military one the other day - get in! Waaarp-Waaarp!!!

ReplyDeleteIt was like Steve Jobs was there to design these old diesels. Many of them were just beautiful to behold not like the box like ones they build today.
