Nevermore Academy

Jenna Ortega hits it on spot with her portrayal of Wednesday Addams. Wednessday is sent to a private school after "dumping live piranhas into the school's pool in retaliation for the boys' water polo team bullying her brother Pugsley." Nevermore Academy is a school for misfits that Wednesday finds her self after the incident.

The series reads like a mystry, one in which Wednesday finds herself trying to unravel. Seaon 1 consists of eight eposoids. I look forward to season two which is said to be released sometime 2025.

Screenshots are from season 1 of Netflix's Wednesday.

Judah Low's Time Golem

"New Crobuzon, and crude, vigorous, ineluctable, the precision of that parcelled-up time reshaped time, was an argument in time.

reshaped the time itself, and made it

          a golem

                 a time golem

which stood into its life, a golem of sound and time, stood and did what it was instructed to do, its instruction became it, its instruction, its exsistance, its command just to be, and so it was. This animate figure carved out of time itself, the rough hew-markes of its making the unshaped seconds and crushed moments at its edges, the split instances where its timelimbs joined its timebody. It was the shape of a figure in dimensions insensibe even to its maker, unseen by any there."

Another Miniature from Mattel's Micro Jurassic World Collection

Pyroraptor

I recently acquired this pyroraptor for my collection micro dinosaurs collection.

Although I am not sure the type of plastic used for these miniatures, but I believe they might be cast from PVC.

Another Garish Bakugan

This piece of plastic is referred to as Trox. He like the last post I made of these minitures, is cast in same garish colors and in hideous poses. Perhaps that is what caught my eye. But then, it was found in a blind bag.

I am not all that fond of this sclupt nor his counterpart. However, if I am to keep him, he needs his toe nails clipped.

Locomotive Detail Parts

Although these were purchased for detailing HO scale locomotives they have been being used for a verity of kit bashing projects. I don't remember the supplier, but I do remember going all in on wanting to detail my EMD F-units, which before I decided to switch to HOn30 were the first generation diesel engines I had purchased for my layout.

Tar Paper Shed is Complete

The basic dimensions for the shed are: 12 x 9 x 15' tall. The structure's subwalls were built from cardstock and I used some bassword strips on the interior to keep the structure from warping and to strengthen the overall build. I usally use white glue, but for this one I used sticky glue as an adhisive.

Side view

I used black construction paper to represent tarpaper, but to a scale 3 or 4 foot. THe battens are from my scale lumber stock. I believe I used 1 x 2 for these. The door was built from cardstock and the trim from my scale lumber stock.

The roof consists of a card stock subroofing and corrugated cardboard which still needs to painted and weathered

Back view. I didn't make the structure too dilapidated in fact, besides a broken and missing battens it doesn't look like it is in disrepair. Who knows what the structure will like the next time we visit?

Roofing Materials

Having to build a roof for the tarpaper shack, I've been on the look out for materials that purpose. Here are those materials, a piece of sturdy carbstock for the sub-roofing and corrugated cardboard for the actual roof.
