Skinjob is a fan created short film. It features some nice choreographed scenes and great audio effects. It is best viewed on the largest screen you have.

Blade Runner — Deleted and Alternate Scenes

I recently received a two dvd Blade Runner set. I have watched both on several occasions and had to add these two classics to my collection. Blade Runner number 1 was, at the time, one of my favorite movies. Imagine a whole new world in the future with people, vehicles, and structures. Blade Runner reminds me of the Sprawl series by William Gibson, namely Mona Lisa Overdrive, Neromancer, and Count Zero.

It does seem the Adam like his movie props and especially his "blasters". He has quite the arsenal. This kit was a 3D print in resin. As usual, Adam added some of his shop created bits.

The Ghost in the Shell 2017

I watched the Ghost in the Shell, the 2017 movie staring Scarlett Johansson and I was struck with the similarities of scenes in the Ghost in the Shell.

There is an opening scene in West World, where they are pulling their replicants out of the vat. I don't know how they refer to this process in West World, but they refer to it as shelling in Ghost in the Shell. It is the process where the mechanincal unit recieves life like shell.

Holograms are employed in Blade Runner 2049 some being very provocative. In Ghost in the Shell holograms are all over the place. There are an over abundence of holograms. Pedestrians even display them above themselves. A walking bill board if you will. The holograms don't interact with pedesrions in the Ghost in the Shell like they do in Blade Runner 2049 though.

Adam Savage's Set Tour of the Blade Runner Universe!

Did you realize that some of the scenes of Blade Runner were filmed in a cave? The filming location helped protray the "other worlds" feel of the street scenes. Although this is a short video it provides an interesting prospective into the making of this film. In addition, the video includes a nice music track.

Although I haven't had a chance to watch this one yet, this is another installment to my Blade Runner Series. You got to love all things about Blade Runner.

Blade Runner and Firefox Miniature Effects

Here is another installment to my Blade Runner series. The Firefox segment of the video is equely interesting. Although I find the whole spectrum of special effects facinating what really interests me is the fabrecation end of it.

Blade Runner 2049 Miniatures

Weta workshop out of New Zealand is the special effects company that did the special effects for movies like King Kong and the Lord of the Rings triology. And as this video makes plain, they also did the special effects for Blade Runner 2049. This video features the miniature mile-high buildings and the LA waste land landscape.

Like I have alluded to before the movie is produced in a pure cinamatic climax of scenes and color.

Blade Runner 2045 is a cinematic feast for the eyes. There is plenty of vivid color, texture, and dramatic music scores. Not to mention the realistic din of a large city. The plot was intriguing, however I not all that sure that I got whether the boy or the girl survived or did they both survive?

LA is mega metropolis with peoples of all types of cultures. It seems that LA has grown and uses San Diego has its garbage dump.

San Diego is now a large scrap yard and garbage dump.

Los Vegas

Hit with a dirty bomb Los Vegas is a waste land.

Blade Runner Miniatures Studio

The Massive Voodoo site featured these images of the Blade Runner miniatures studio, the place where the models for the movie Blade Runner were created.

The film depicts a dystopian Los Angeles in November 2019, in which a group of genetically engineered replicants, which are visually indistinguishable from adult humans, having become rebellious are to be terminated by the authorities... Awesome stuff!
