This was a "small project" and was an all metal kit. I converted it into a pick-up with a few pieces of leftover stripwood. It was a fun small project and took me about a hour to assemble and paint. I am sorry, but I don't remember where I obtained this kit.
This blog is mainly a place where I can record my current interests. It is also a place where I can showcase my current projects, obtain inspiration, keep track of suppliers, and the many other little things that make-up who I am and what I am presently about.

Two Praline HO Scale Vehicles
Neither of these Praline HO scale vehicles is in pristine condition. I purchased these two, along with others, years ago. Praline is a German company that at one time produced a whole selection of scale vehicles. At any rate both of these miniature models are finely cast in polystyrene.
I don’t remember seeing the headlight lens missing in the Mercedes-Benz 300 SL Roadster miniature when I first purchased the vehicle; however it could went missing at any time I had it out of its clear case.
In the case of the Peugeot, its glass pane rack needs a little glue to hold the frame down into the bed of cargo space.

Highway Miniatures 1940 Ford Standard Sedan
Here is another Highway Miniatures polystyrene model vehicle in 1/87 scale. There are two sprues with a set of delicate parts that include a clear window insert and a detailed engine. Including an engine indicates that the model can be modeled with the hood up or closed. I will be modeling this model with its hood up and with someone peering in to see what the problem might be. “FORD-fix-or-repair-daily”.

Greg’s Garage’s 1942 Nash in 1/87 Scale
This 1/87 scale model of depicts a Nash 42 Ambassador Eight. Greg’s Garage, at one time, cast a verity 1/87 scale vehicles in a clear dark clear resin. These casts have crisp lines and are full of detail, which will take a fine brush and a very steady hand to paint.

Magnuson Models are manufactured by Wm. F. Walthers. These are polyester castings and come two per package. The package also contains a metal detail part, that is, two fenders, and four wheels per model. You can get an idea of the amount detail that is molded in place by viewing the photo. These models will take some careful painting to bring out the detail.

Rustic Rails Flatbed Wagon
The components for the wagon includes the wagon and gear, 4 wheels, 2 horse, and a rider.
I should have added this note before, but it seems Rustic Rails is yet another defunct miniatures company.

Highway Miniatures Buckboard Wagon
This is another example of a horse drawn wagon and another Highway Miniatures kits. As you will note the kit comes with enough parts for two complete wagons. Like the Old Farm Wagon, this kit contains a set of highly detailed and delicate parts. Although this kit does not come with a driver it does come with two barrels and one sack. Take notice of the difference between the two horses.
This kit contains three sets of sprue

Rustic Rails Buckboard Wagon
It was some time ago I posted the assembly instructions for this metal kit. Why I didn’t make a post for the kit parts at that time is beyond me. So here is an image of the kit parts in different stages of completion. Actually, the only thing that is just about complete is the painting of the horse and wagon.
During assembly I accidentally broke one of the “springs” for the wooden seat and I set the whole kit aside for a while. It seems that a few of the parts need a little touch-up and I need to fabricate two spring replacements. I am thinking about using two small pieces of a small diameter solid copper wire here.

An Old Farm Wagon in 1/87 Scale
This 1/87 scale Highway Miniatures Old Farm Wagon kit includes three sprue molded in polystyrene. The three sprue, include sets of highly detailed and delicate parts. Two of the sprue in a cream color contain two half’s of a horse, the parts for wagon driver and other miscellaneous parts for the wagon. The third sprue, in grey, contains parts for the wooden body of the wagon.
Clearly written instructions with an assembly diagram are included. Attesting to the delicacy of the molded parts, there is a small order form printed on the instruction sheet that can be used send off for parts that might break during assembly.
The parts, assembled with liquid model glue produce a highly detailed model that will look great in a country scene on a train layout.
Since many of the parts of small and delicate, I would be very careful with the amount of glue that you use. It is very easy to mar the surface of the plastic parts with your finger prints. It should go without saying, but the removal of parts from the sprue should be done very carefully.

1/87 scale 1 ½ Ton Federal Dump Truck
The truck has a Model-T type cab and spoked wheels. I cannot put an exact year on this model, but Model T’s were produced by the Ford Motor Company from October 1, 1908, to May 26, 1927. If my memory serves me right this model is one from the early twenties? With sixteen parts this Woodland Scenics model has a very intricate for something of its size.

4mm/OO Wallace & Stevens Advance Steam Roller
4mm/OO; British equivalent to the American HO scale? One of the gifts I received this past season. This Wallace & Stevens Advance Steam Roller model has a dozen or so white metal parts that can be assembled with CA or quick acting epoxy glue. There aren’t too many small parts here. I will be using epoxy for the larger components and CA for the smaller detail parts. It comes with a full sheet of detailed instructions and some nicely detailed parts. Kit also comes with two HO scale figures.

Two Additional EKO 1/87 Vehicles
This model is just like the other I had previously made a post, but this one without its windows.
I was rummaging through a box of unfinished 1/87 scale vehicles and came upon these two EKO HO scale models. EKO is a Spanish company, the maker of a full line of 1/87 scale vehicles. EKO’s models are not high quality, but they do have a charm all their own.
Not sure what the make of this one is. I can’t seem to find picture of it in the current sales materials. A fellow blogger has indentifiyed this model as a Ford Continental.
EKO models have the EKO logo molded into the floor board on the front end of their models.
Even though these models can cost up towards $10.30 USD it seems that they are very popular for many of those listed, on an online retailer that I occasionally make purchases, are currently out of stock.

A Small Collection of Old Pictures from my Collection of HO Gauge Vehicles
I was rooting through my folders of old images that I had taken and found these images from my collection of HO gauge vehicles. These were assembled and cast in appropriate colors. The models will need a little weathering and they will be ready for a nineteen fifty’s era layout.
Anyone interesting in a trade? Contact me with an offer. I am looking for 25, 28, 30, or 40mm miniatures. I am open to any sort of miniature.
