I recently received a two dvd Blade Runner set. I have watched both on several occasions and had to add these two classics to my collection. Blade Runner number 1 was, at the time, one of my favorite movies. Imagine a whole new world in the future with people, vehicles, and structures. Blade Runner reminds me of the Sprawl series by William Gibson, namely Mona Lisa Overdrive, Neromancer, and Count Zero.
This blog is mainly a place where I can record my current interests. It is also a place where I can showcase my current projects, obtain inspiration, keep track of suppliers, and the many other little things that make-up who I am and what I am presently about.

A Star Wars K-2SO Droid
They did a good job with the painting of details on the front of the model.
This droid was not advertized as a K-2SO Droid, but it sure looks like one. The droid stands approximately 120mm. It is a leggy thing and molded from a hard plastic and is highly detailed from the mold and paint. THe droids head, neck, arms, and legs are articulated.
As you can see the model also has some nice molded details on its backend. The question arises, should I take some paint to these details or not.

The Humots #2
"The humots aped the vanished race to which they had been dedicated, wore old human clothes retrieved from the wreckage underfoot, assuming hats and scarves, dragged on socks, affected pipes and ponytails, and tied ribbons to themselves. Thier guttering electronic memories were refreshed by old movies ferreted from the D-Dump they copied in metallic gesture the movements of shaddows, aspired to emotion and hoped for hearts. The thought themselves a cut above the non-anthrophic automata that had superceded them."

The Humots
"Humots executed slow, rhythmic dances to an intricate pattern, heads nodding, clapping their own hands turning to clap others hands. Some were grotesquely male, some grotesquely female. In the door-ways, or sitting on old refrigrtators, other grotesques look on.
These were the humots-old type human-designed robots of the late twentieth and early twenty fifth centuries useless in an all-automatic world, scrapped when the old technology was scrapped."

Star Wars II, Server Droids
"Never underestimate a droid."
―Leia Organa
The Star Wars franchise has given us an unending array of droids types and personalities. A droid is a robot, especially one resembling a human.
I believe one of these is referred to as Dixie. I wonder if these droids are "woke" and expect to be tipped?
