This blog is mainly a place where I can record my current interests. It is also a place where I can showcase my current projects, obtain inspiration, keep track of suppliers, and the many other little things that make-up who I am and what I am presently about.

Eddy's World
The sheer number and the simplicity of toys this maker created is amazing. Most of these toys were created from plastic, Eddy being an early adopter of this new medium.

Zombies Verses Plants #2
We have been down this road once before. This another rendition of Zombies Verses Plants. And as far as I am concerned these are better looking constructs than the former.
A few more of these PVC miniatures.

A Pocket Full of Toys
Like they found their way into my pocket.
I found these guys hanging out on the underside of this chair. A green rubber-like dino, a cute little "rubber" duck, and a plastic spike dude. A few more additions for my "lost & found" collection.

A Figure from Popular Culture?
This figure stands approximately 90mm tall. It is cast from a sturdy PVC like plastic and with an articulate head, arms, legs, and tail. This figure like the others of this mini-series was lost and found. Although I have seen these figures before somewhere out in popular culture, I do not have the foggiest idea where that might have been. Any help will be greatly appreciated.

Greeble Bits
This is another lost and found item I recently acquired. It looks like a spaceship that might have included a projectile of some sort. I have divided the piece in different cut points. I thought these parts might make great greeble bits for other projects.

Lost & Found: A pink dolly comb and purse; greeble
I was out for a walk today and these bits of pink and white caught my eye.
A doll brush cast in plastic and is 40mm long by 16mm high.
A dolly purse. No, there is no ID inside. The hard plastic purse measures 29mm long, not counting the strap and 16mm high.
Greeble? Or perhaps a large scale grinder; electric motor? Hard plastic; measures 23mm long.

Lost & Found: Raggedy Ann Figure
This gal has seen better days and has made it to my “Lost and found series. Although she was played with heavily, even by the family dog, by the looks of the teeth marks on her torso she did clean-up nicely.
After digging her up, another toy found in my garden, she was given a bath and scrubbed with a tooth brush. Once she was dry she was thoroughly inspected. This woman has got some curves. She stands approximately 65mm tall. I don’t know what type of plastic she is cast, but I am guessing PVC? She feels dense and has some bulk has I grip her in my hand. Don't judge.

Hot Wheels Art Cars
"Hot Wheels Art Cars: Colorful art-inspired vehicles ready to paint the town." These are beautiful models. The amount of detail in some of these toy cars is astounding.
I had to overlook another "Art Cars" the other day. I am afraid I have a budget for my collecting activities. Perhaps next time...

Matchbox Restorations
I watch several of this authors restoration’s this morning and was captivated by the authors abilities restoring these for longed metal cars. This particular specimen, a Lesney, No 42 Studebaker had been played with hard and had lost quite a bit of its original paint.

This tow truck is one of Matchbox’s classic miniature vehicles. Like the rest of their line this model is cast from metal, but unlike their more modern line, this tow truck is in a very basic design.

Hot Wheels, Hot Wheel Customs & Hot Wheel Resources
Recently I was searching for information on scratch building and I came across an article on how to scratch build parts for 1/64 scale; the scale that Mettel's's Hot wheels are supposing manufactured, out of polystyrene and epoxy. Although I don’t have a large collection of these vehicles the article was interesting and inspirational.
