English Translation

"I saw a black heronBattling it out with a riverThat is how your heartFalls in love with mineMoon, moon, moon, full moonGo, boy, to the houseAnd bring me the rifleTo kill this hawkThat won't spare a single one of my chickensMoon, moon, moon, full moonThe moon is looking at meI don’t know what it sees in meI have clean clothesI washed them late yesterday afternoonMoon, moon, moon, full moon."

Pink Floyd - Pigs

Back in the day I saw Floyd perform the animal album down in Tampa Florida. Great time, what I can remember of it.

Memory in Miniature

I had to check my posts. I am surprised that this post wasn't posted before now. A miniatures artist is archiving places where people gather in older parts of town. Many of these small coffee shops and family owned restaurants are in areas of planned urban development. So, instead of taking pictures and writing about these popular "hole in the wall" establishments she is making dioramas. Absolutely, charming little dioramas that depict the many aspects of these shops.

We have blown through the first half of this year and all seems like a blur.

The Who - Won't Get Fooled Again --- 1979

A great performance by the Who. Back in the day, this was one of my favorites from the Who. We are all getting old.

Planet Claire - The B-52's

An odd little ditty about a place far away. by the B-52's.

Lyrics

She came from Planet Claire
I knew she came from there
She drove a Plymouth Satellite
A-faster than the speed of light
Planet Claire has pink air
All the trees are red
No one ever dies there
No one has a head
Some say she's from Mars
Or one of the seven stars that shine after three-thirty in the morning
Well, she isn't!
She came from Planet Claire
She came from Planet Claire
She came from Planet Claire
