This blog is mainly a place where I can record my current interests. It is also a place where I can showcase my current projects, obtain inspiration, keep track of suppliers, and the many other little things that make-up who I am and what I am presently about.

Adam Savage's One Day Builds: Mandalorian Amban Blaster Replica!
This aspect is intesting, however the fabrication of this Mandalorian Amban Blaster will be even more so. It must be great to have all the right equipment and materials at hand when working on something like this. Well done!

Alligator Resin
Cast from resin this little cartoonish looking alligator measures approximately 57 long by 25mm wide.

My 1/35 Scale Rowboat has Arrived
Some assembly is required. There are two oars, a plank for a seat, and a buffer that will need to be put in place. The resin piece will need a little clean-up with a file and then painted and weathered.

Miniature Robot Kit
Ladomér the Robot stands approximately 40mm tall. I found him at BiteSizedBattles on Etsy.
I used my Artistic license when building my copy of Ladomér, which is still in process. I am am putting finishing touches on a scratch built rutsack I have fashioned and of course the specimen will need some paint.
The way I interpeted the build was, the back side allowed the placement for one of the included accessories.
Perhaps the author was being nice for in addition to the accessories, like a small rutsack, a jetpack, a arm with a space gun, and treaded wheels there were extra arms and legs. These parts will go in my kit-bash box and are much appreciated. They will come in handy for future projects.

1/87 Scale Steam Engine, Vertical and Horizontal Boilers
Here is a small collection of a steam engine and boilers that I have coompleted. As thses have been built sometime ago, I cannot say, with the exception of one model, where they are from.

Back in the day, this steam engine might have supplied power for anyone of many manufacturing concerns. Constructed from a kit of metal parts.

Owls
I found these four owls on eBay. You never know when you might need a wise owl around. They stand one and half inch’s high and are made of solid resin. They are full of detail and are rather cute and were rather reasonable priced I might add.

Four Rusty Rail Resin Castings
These four Rusty Rail castings come in two separate Rusty Rail packages that seem to be out of print, at this time. The castings are cast from a cream colored resin and measure from one inch to a little over an inch long by about a half-inch wide.
The castings, from left to right are a rack full of pipes, a grounded skid with a couple of barrels, a coal bin, and a wooden storage box.
So far I have only gotten to painting one of the castings. I am sorry about the blurry picture.
Wooden Storage Box: could be used for wood for the fireplace or coal for the stove?

Sierra West 1/87 (HO) Detail Parts
Sierra West is a maker of fine craftsmen style structures for model railroaders in HO and O gauges. It seems that I should have purchased more than three of these highly detailed castings. At one time, Sierra West used to sell a whole line of these resin detail parts. Although they still cast their own castings, these casting are only offered in their craftsmen kits.
