The Assembly of the AT - M6 is Complete

Screenshot for Star Wars

Assemble has been completed. I still need to prime, paint, and detail the model. The instructions suggest paint consisting of 90% grey and 10% black. I don't see a scale listed anywhere on the box. So in milimeters the transport measures approximatly 75h by 65w. The piece is highly detailed and it will be fun to detail these with dabs of paint.

Even though I took longer to build the model it could have put together in about twenty minutes. For as simple as construction was I am very happy how things worked out. It is as small as it is beautiful.

AT - M6 Walker Under Construction

These models are full of details and are well engineered.

Make sure you know what comes next and watch your assembly sequences during the assembly of your subassemblies.

And now for something totaly different...

Star Wars Imperial AT-M6 walkers.

Sometime ago I acquired several of Bandia Star Wars Series of models, including an AT-M6. Although these models can be snapped together I usually use a spot of glue anyway. I have just started the construction of this model using the build instructions illustrations printed on the inside of the box.

"Lumbering armored beasts that are the latest generation in walkers, these transports help the First Order secure their expanding territories."

Battle-tech Mech-Scratch building Demystified

This article provides instructions and some images depicting the process of creating a scratch built Battletech Mech model. The instructions are not very detailed, but provide a basic overview of the process. The main material used for the model is styrene; however some metal tubing was also used to add structural strength to the model. The models design was used by FASA in the first addition of the tabletop combat game. Although not a true Star Wars Walker I labeled this post with this attribute anyway to help indentify this post.

1/144 Scale Star Wars Fighters and Walkers

Source of Image

Although most of the models are out of stock at this time, Hobbylinc is offering most of F-Toys line of Star Wars fighters and walkers. Most of the models are in 1/144 scale. If the product images are to be trusted it seems that some of the models come with display stands. These models look as though they should be easy to build and at about $9 per model, would be a very economical way to augment your collection of Star Wars fighters and walkers.

1/72 Space Men and Star War Walkers

I haven’t written about space men since my “The Impetus for Spacemen Figures” and “Marx Spacemen Gallery” posts, so I thought it might be time for another go on this topic. Recently, I came across the following posts-“Space Battles Wargame- Coming Soon” and “Science Fiction Figures in HO Scale”. Both of these articles make mention Dark Dream Studio’s Space Battles sets one and two.

The Plastic Soldier Review wrote a review on set 1 and a member of Airfix’s forum wrote a review on the same set that includes quite a few images of this set. What caught my attention about these sets is that these sets include figures and a few Star Wars type walkers.

Although I could not obtain information about the Dark Dream Studio Company I did learn that Dark Dream Studio is an affiliate of Orion scale models and that both sets can be found on Ebay. If you know of another source, please let us know.
